Fake Psychics

I debated about posting this because I wish not to be seen as teaching or endorsing fake people to giving a way to commit fraud. Nor is an attack on any but those who wish to do so. I've seen this method used in real life and on the web to plant lies in your head in hopes of gaining a following and departing one with their money as well. How is this done?

Use broad statements that apply to a large segment of the population in order to fake psychic powers. For instance, telling a client, "You are usually outgoing but sometimes you need time alone" will likely provoke a feeling of agreement, instilling instant confidence in your psychic abilities. Real psychic powers are usually much more specific. Well duh! Who doesn't at one time or another?

Ask a lot of questions in advance in order to fake a psychic reading. Knowing a client's age, marital status, hobbies and family will give you a plethora of useful information for the fake psychic reading and allow you to improvise as you go along. This is their way of gaining knowledge which will be used against you later. Are you gasping for air in awe of their magical powers yet?

Many will tell you that you're under a spell or a curse which has been placed in order to do much harm to you and your love ones. The "Love ones" is the phrase that gets most because, as it should be, it is a off limits area for people. Now they can remove it but it will take several sessions and your hard earned dollars to do so. They claim to "powers" were given them for good but for who's? If they're that caring why not do it just for the sake of helping a fellow human out? Or could it be that profit trumps karma?

Be insistent if you give your client a wrong answer when you fake psychic powers. For instance, if you give her a name that doesn't mean anything to her, simply insist that, spiritually speaking, the person in question is known by more than one name. Never change your answers to make your predictions seem more real to the client. Or the name given is a "spirit guide" send as a go between you and the dearly departed. They may just simply tell you by asking questions that you break the spell or you have angered "The Great Cornholio!

Make your predictions contingent upon repeated sessions when you fake psychic powers. Tell your clients that the predictions will only come true if you are able to see them regularly, in order to help them manage their lives and their futures. This guarantees a steady source of income for you and gives you another out when your predictions do not come true. Who hasn't been burned with this one. Real powers would mean no questions would need to be asked or answered. You would walk in and they would proceed to tell you what you came for.

There you have a baseline to go by that I hope saves you time, money and grief in your life. Many are out for you hard earned dollar and nothing more. Make the all mighty prove to you that are in fact the real deal. Lastly don't fall for that stopping the heart gag either. This is done by placing a ping pong ball in the armpit of the arm the offer for you to check. The pressure blocks the pulse. Let the Hate mail begin! This means if I get hate mail, that means I already predicted it's coming and therefore, makes me a Psychic so leave $200.00 and keep the line moving.....

4:30

Harold was so glad to be home. He was off until after New Years and thought he'd need every day of it. This was surely the busy time of year with stringing the lights, the traffic, and the lines at the malls. Doris met him at the door with his evening treat of brandy and a kiss, just as she had the last ten years. Young Billy and Marcy waved from in front of the TV as they were known to do. "Dinner will be ready in a bit so rest for a moment." Doris said as she hurried off to the kitchen. He nearly fell into the chair he was so tired. The kids were watching Christmas specials so  there would be no news for Harold on TV this night, but he smiled and breathed a prayer of thanks. This had not been a normal year for the Reynolds family.

It all started during a thunderstorm the past March in the old house. The old house needed work but it had a charm than seem to hold the entire family in it's grasp. All was well as they went to sleep to the sound of distant thunder. In the middle of the night Harold and Doris had been awaken by Marcy screaming. They got to the room she shared with Billy at the same time and struggled to be the first through the door. The poor child just sat there in bed, pointing at the foot of the bed and continued to scream. Harold embraced his daughter and began to rock her back and forth while assuring her all was well. "Billy has slept through this!" Doris said as she walked over to check for breathing. Billy was fine and moved a little under the cover.

"Daddy, there was a monster standing there pulling my foot!" Honey, it was just a dream." He said as he pulled her closer and Doris rubbed her head. " It was gray and had big eyes and a big head." Marcy said as she trembled. Both Doris and Harold both check the room and the closet to ensure there was no monster present. It calmed her down but tears still stained her tiny cheek. It was now 4:30 in the morning and Harold knew he would have to be up soon. " I know what you need sweetie." Doris said as she took Marcy By the hand. "When I was little if a monster showed up I got to sleep with mommy and daddy that night so the monster would go away" She told her as they walked down the hall. All was well and Marcy went back to her own bed and slept quietly for over a week.

"Daddy, it's got me me!" The scream filled the house. Once again both dashed into the room to find the same scene played over again. Once again Billy slept through the chaos and proclaimed he heard and saw nothing until they woke him for school the next day. Once again it was 4:30 in the morning. This same play was enacted at least once a week and it got to the point that Marcy feared to come home. It was in October they started the search for a new house.

Many a night Harold had stayed up all night try to catch whatever it was that was tormenting his young daughter. Nothing would be seen, or heard before the screaming would start. He knew that Bighead, (as they named him), was back. How do you protect your family from something you can't catch? He ask himself over and over again. Stress and lack of sleep had taken it's toll to say the least.

Harold jumped as something touched his face. " Honey, dinner is ready!" Doris smiled and leaned in for a kiss. He'd not even been aware of falling asleep. It was meatloaf night and was the favorite of Harold. Doris was a grand cook but her meatloaf was untouchable. When Dinner was over. He helped Doris tidy up and they joined the children in the living room. Marcy had been nightmare free since the move and the family was just starting to remember how to relax once more.

They shared popcorn and watched A Christmas Story laughing and the antics displayed on the screen. When the movie was over, the helped the kids with their prayers and to bed. Harold closed their bedroom door behind and waited for Doris to finish in the bathroom for his turn. After sharing a kiss he turned out the light and quickly feel asleep.

"Harold, wake up." Doris said as she gently shook his shoulder. " Wha.....what is it?" He ask rubbing his eyes. "listen.....just listen." She said while raising up in bed. At first he heard nothing. Then he heard what sounded like claws near the attic. Harold grabbed a 9 iron from the closet and told Doris to go to the Kid's bedroom and lock the door. "Open it for no one but me, you understand?" He told her as he shut them in and stood outside the door until he heard the click of the lock.

The clawing sound was filling the house by this time and he thought he heard something in the wall. Harold as uneasy as any man would be. He was sure that a stint in the Army had him more than ready for one, but the sound said there was many. Harold lost his breath as he noticed the clock in the hall said 4:30. His knuckles turned white around the golf club as he promised himself that the only way "Bighead" was leaving this time was in a body bag.

As he got to the bottom of the stairs , he heard something fall in the kitchen. Using all the stealth he had, he walked through the room checking doors and windows to make sure they were locked, and the were. Just then the lights on the Christmas tree came on in the living room. Harold remembered unplugging them before retiring for the evening. He peeked around the corner and saw noting but the flash of the tree lights. The noise was still coming from everywhere as he slid into the room towards the tree. He had remembered to keep one eye closed so as not to loose all his nigh vision.

He made it to the tree and when he bent over to remove the cord from the outlet, he noticed it wasn't even plugged into the outlet! They're blinking all by themselves! I've got to get upstairs and get them to safety!  Harold thought just as he heard something large behind him. "So the stand is made here." He thought as he tried to raise the club over his head. He was standing too close the tree so the upward movement got caught in the branches sending the tree on it's side. Just then he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Now be a good boy, and go back to bed so I can do my job."  A voice and a giggle said behind him. Harold turned to look see the jolly fat man standing there grinning with a cookie in the other hand. Harold stood there speechless for what seemed like forever just looking at the rose colored cheeks. " A bit sorry for the noise of the landing but the roof is slick at the moment." He said with a chuckle. "Now off you go! I've a busy night in from of me." He said pushing Harold toward the stairs. "By the way, you've no worries of Bighead anymore since he made the bad list." The man said as he took a drink of milk. Harold felt a tear run down his face and noticed he was starting to chuckle himself.

Harold got to the kids room and found the door open and the room empty. Just for a moment panic struck him as he hurried to the master suite. There he found Doris, Billy and Marcy all asleep and holding a candy cane. He eased in beside them to awake the next day holding a candy cane and the sound of laughter and paper tearing downstairs. Not only was he thankful but he found he had a renewed hope that goodness was still alive and well.

The Deal

The aging rocking chair cracked and moaned as Mr. Banks sat his large and sizable frame into it after placing another piece of oak into the fireplace. A man of eighty-seven years had seen more than his share of loss in his days on earth. He moved his cold feet closer to the fire and remember when his life was quite different. He had married his high school sweetheart at eighteen and began a life that was straight out of fairy tales. Sure he'd missed the birth of his son while serving his country but Mary's letters painted such a wonderful picture of things that he could almost forgot the jungle he was in had death behind every turn. He knew with every ounce of his being that he would indeed play catch with his son and take advantage of every moment to remind Mary of just how much he loved her. When he got off the plane the first thing he saw was his Darling Mary and his son, who was now waking with no issues. Oh how grand life was! At that instant Mr. Banks forgot all the deeds he begged God to forgive him for as it was either a them or him choice to be made. Life was new and the past was the past. Soon Mary, Henry, and young Henry, began their new life and the dream. They bought a nice home with a big yard and even had the white picket fence they had once joked about having. He started his own real estate business and Mary was making a name for herself in the local PTA and garden club. Soon he was a deacon at the church they attended and Mary taught an Sunday school class. Mr Banks had long since got into the habit of pinching himself when he awoke each day to make sure it wasn't all just a dream. Some of his friends use to chide him about the marks on his arm being made by Mary, but he took it all in stride as he knew the were self-inflicted.

Time went on at a mad pace of delight and business and soon they were caught in the cycle of life that we all find ourselves in. Both had been too busy to see the darkness that was engulfing young Henry Jr as he was well into his teen years. Sure they knew he was sneaking out for a smoke but Mr. Banks seen to reason to yell at the young man since he too had smoked before him all his life. Drugs were unheard of in the "Rockwell" like town and no good citizen would sell a child the devils drink. Henry's mood became darker and the once talkative young man would now just set and stare at nothing for what seemed like hours. No longer did he want to play with the other kids or go fishing with Mr. Banks as they'd spent many Saturday's past. Soon they would hear the floor creek in the hall in the daylight hours and seen young Henry slowing moving toward his bedroom. When as about this Henry would become agitated and grumble about he knew of no law against going to the bathroom in ones own house. Indeed there wasn't but why did he feel the need to be completely dressed for a journey of ten yards? Mr. Banks had spoken to a Doctor friend about young Henry, and the Doctor had assured Mr. Banks that it sounded  like noting more than teenage growing pains and he was sure it would pass

. Mr Banks thought he heard something near the door but soon told himself it was just the wind on such a windy evening. As much as he tried to bypass the next memories it was not to be. Mr Bank's remember the newspaper that would soon turn his word to a dark abyss that seem no escape from. The headlines told the story of a manhunt for a 4 year old blonde girl from the other side of town. The screen in the window had been cut and the girl was gone without a trace. The Odd thing was when he told Mary at the breakfast table of the news that young Henry started laughing to the point of tears. Seeing not the humor in the events, Mr Banks demanded to know the reason behind it. "Sorry, I just remember a joke I heard." He told his father as the smile left his face and the stare came home once more. Mr banks was in his office later that day when a State Police Officer entered his small office. "Mr Banks, may I ask you a question?" The man said while showing no emotion at all. Mr's bank though noting of it since people came to his office often in search of someone. He lay his paperwork aside and nodded that he could. " By any chance to you know this item?" The officer ask handing him a open knife sealed in a bag. Mr Bank's was thankful to be setting at that moment because the bag contained a bloody hunting knife that was inscribed "Happy 16th  Henry Jr" Of course he knew the knife! He also knew the price and the place of purchase, since it had been less than a year.

"Has something happened to my son?" Mr Banks stuttered as the tears began to flow. " I just need to ask him some questions, Mr Banks, so if you'd come with me, it would be a big help." The officer said as he held opened the door and motioned toward the door. Somehow Mr Banks made it from behind his desk and into the patrol car before the young officer.  As they began to drive toward the Banks home, the officer began to paint the most horrid of sites. The missing girls body had been found on a rock and her heart had been removed and was missing.  Various symbols of reference's to Satan had been painted in the area using the victims blood. A hunter had found the grisly scene by happenstance and had ran to a homestead and called the police. The knife had been found at the scene. " No way my boy no way!" Mr. Banks said as they rounded the last corner and pulled into the driveway of the Banks home. Mr Banks hurried from the car in such haste that the door standing open had not struck him as odd. He fell to his knees as he found his darling Mary, sitting rocking in the living room floor, laughing with a glazed look in her eyes and blood on her face. There's no way of knowing how long she had set there but there were mounds of her hair pulled out and thrown all around her. She never seemed to notice Mr banks or the officer before her. She just continued to rock and pull hair out by the hand full and toss it to the wind. Mr. Banks threw his arms around his wife as to try to bring comfort but Mary's manner changed not. The officer we through the house and lastly checked the upstairs. It was there the he found the body of young Henry. Henry had cut his own wrists with a razor and had left a note saying he was going to take his rightful throne beside his dark lord. The young girls heard was found in his coat pocket cut into several pieces. The days ahead grew even darker for Mr Banks as the town's folk looked and whispered behind his back that he was the one who brought the devil to their village. Doctors told him that Mary was insane and no hope of recovery besides an Act of God could be wished for. Three years later Mary passed away in her sleep without ever being the love of his life once more. It was then that Mr. Banks had become a recluse in his own him, only to venture out when  one must. He had lost all track of time and not took time to notice the storm that was traveling headlong into the valley. Suddenly a loud bust of thunder pulled Mr. Banks from the horrors of the past and the front door sprang open with a large gust of wind. He struggled to rise from his chair to close the door and that's when the smell hit it. Such an odd smell as it was the smell of burning and the odor of something dead at the same time. "Have you missed me old man?" a voice ask behind him. When he turned to look a figure stood in the door way but no features could be made out. Kids had taunted Mr. Banks ever since the death of his son so he wasn't scared since he'd been dealing with it for years. "You've picked the wrong night for such foolishness!" Mr Banks said while talking hold of a stick of firewood.

The front door shut as if blown closed and the figure stepped forward. Mr Banks dropped the piece of wood and fell back into his chair as his aging knees failed him. "No warm embrace for you son?" the figure said laughing as he came close enough to the fireplace to be seen. It was Henry Jr. Or it looked liked him at least. The creature had the biggest black dog at his side that Mr. Banks had ever seen, and the eyes of this phantom matched the dogs, both being black as coal. He wore a long black cloak that he saw maggots fall out of what seem to be pockets. It then smiled and Mr. Banks saw teeth that no human could ever possess. W.......What are you?" Mr. Banks ask as the foul smelling creature leaned forward and licked his cheek. "You called me son once upon a time you silly old coot. And you made the whore you married call me that too." It said as it became enraged. " I was NEVER yours you old fool!" It said as it slapped Mr. Banks in the face. " what happen to you son?" Mr Banks ask while wringing his hands. It was at that that the creature let out a growl so loud that pictures flew off the wall. " Say that once more and I'll have my way with you in hell before the dawn!" It said while contorting it's hands into un-human shapes and fire flew from the claws at the ends of the fingers. "This is a special day for us or have you forgotten?" It ask as it cut Mr. Banks cheek with a nail. At this moment it dawned to Mr Banks. No wonder it was on his mind. He'd not noticed that this was the day his life came to an end. " I've come to offer you a deal." It said as it threw an arm around Mr. Banks and sat in his lap. "You took everything from me years ago so what have you to offer devil!" Mr. Banks said through clinched teeth. It then placed a hand around Mr. Banks throat so tight that he thought his eyes would burst. " Simple really. I have the power to give it all back to you. Your stupid little house and business, even that slut of a creature you called a wife. It can all be your's once more." It said as it blew him a kiss. "This cannot be!" You haven't the power!" Mr Banks shouted. When it rose to it's feet and stomped. it was then he noticed the hoofs where feet once was. Plaster fell from the roof, a crack went up the wall, and fire flew from the outlets in the house. " Do not test me old man as I've power that your God lies when he claims he has! It paused and straightened it cloak and took a breath.

"Must you upset me or our special day seeing as how I've even come bearing gifts?" It said as it pulled up a chair in front of Mr. Banks. "You see...ahem, father, I knew that all you had was mine except that faith that you proclaimed and clung to so tightly. Just like that silly child that helped me to cross over." But I taught you the truth..." Mr Banks said as looked directly in it's dead eyes. " It then pointed a finger and a flame hit the wall directly in from of them! "Lies! All you taught were lies! It said as it pounded it's fist on the arm of the chair. "Where was this God when your darling Mary went mad when she saw the truth? Neither did he show up in the whimper of the child as well." Now I suppose you will say that He has His ways and that sort of thing, am I right? It said with a smile. I've grown tired of this so I will get to my point." It said as it rubbed the head of the beast at it's side. "Renounce this silly farce and I will give it all back to you for your normal span and then I shall return to take what is mine." It said as it reached a hand toward Mr Banks. He thought that all he longed for would be his again. All the walks on long summer days holding her hand would be his again. It seemed so easy. " It is easy old man," it said as if it was reading his mind. "We've all our paths to choose and some, well, are a bit messy. I've come to make things right, father." It said as it healed the cut in Mr. Banks cheek that it had made. "What is it you book says about hate?" It ask. Just then the doors and all the windows imploded and Mr. Banks threw his arms over his face for protection. It was then that he saw a burst of light that seemed as bright as the noonday sun. "My darling Henry" came a voice that still made him giggle even it his present state. "It cannot be, it simply cannot be!" He said as he feared to look. Just them he felt a warm embrace that held his heart since long ago. As He lowered his arms, before his eyes, stood Mary in a glowing robe and more beautiful than even he remembered. " Go away you bitch! the thing shouted as it rose to it's feet. It then made a quick swipe with it's talon like nails that met nothing but air and left no damage. "It's a trick father!" The thing yelled as it shook Mr. Banks. " We have a deal and he was in the process of shaking on it, tell her father!" It said as it jumped in the air. "Is that really you Mary?" Mr. Banks ask as he through his heart wold burst from joy. " Yes darling it is I, and I've come to take you home." Mary said as she kissed his forehead. "He belongs to me you whore! It said as another swipe done no damage as well! " Our son made his choice dear and we must make your's the correct one." This night love is your last night on earth and he knew it. " Mary said while pointing at the beast  now starting to smolder. "You would have been happy but a moment and it would be gone. He's claimed many with such tricks!" "Mary said while making a fist. "I'm burning! Was the last statement it made as it went up in black smoke. "Come Henry, home awaits!" Mary said as she reached her hand toward her beloved Henry. Just as he took her hand, he took his last earthly breath and entered the land of the Eternal as promised so long ago.

The Search Continues....

Oh, how this frustrates me! I knew the New York State case would plunge me into uncharted waters and I ran headlong into the challenge. I've no regrets but I continue to seek a neat container in which to place all the findings, and, still have them make sense! Granted, I don't ask for much! just because one has studied the areas, doesn't place one as a researcher in all areas. Alas, the pleasure a simple haunting can be in getting to the bottom of things! One moment I'm Captain Ahab and I'm pulling my prize  behemoth to port and the next moment I am forced to become Don Quixote engaged in a life and death battle with the dreaded demon windmills. This is one deep rabbit hole to say the least! It's almost as if there lies a hidden connection between UFO's, poltergeist, bigfoot, and all other beasts that the human race finds its self entangled with at a moments notice. There are too many reports of all being in the same place at the same time for them not to have a common denominator. This appears in written form far more silly than it does in my mind. What am I missing or yet to figure out drives me almost to the point of tears. Do they work together, are they birthed from the same womb, or do they share something else? I mean we have reports of things matching these descriptions in cave art all the way down to the fiber optic highway were on now. Something is out there and it's joining forces or making it know to us for the first time. Why would a UFO need a bigfoot, or why mock a poltergeist? Here's what we know as a fact; The three together are most often in places on or near a large body of water; They are found in areas know to have crossing points of several leylines; There are always direct contact reported by at least one person. Many will report contact with all three before it's over for them. Is this the work of a single malevolent force that changes forms at will? What if it's an entity that feeds on fear and choose's shape to suit the moment. Perhaps there are twenty-six dimensions to our world as some now believe. I will admit I have my work cut out for me with this one but it's not met up with someone too stupid to give up the search.....until now. High Strangeness indeed.......

Monster Hunter??????

I have indeed met some wonderful people over the last twenty-years of travel. Many I've barely managed to stand in awe of their intelligence and insight, and at other times  I've pondered which asylum was one resident shy. During which time I've heard this line of work, (if you call it that), classed as many things. Today, a colleague of mine simply called us, "monster hunters"! This was a first for me as the tittle conjured up several images of vaudeville That may have etched a smile on my face. Hiding behind a creaking castle door with a hammer to bean the monster in the head as it's enters for it's act of mayhem. Throwing a flea infested cat onto a werewolf, knowing the feline will be more than happy to share! replacing all the packets of blood  with ketchup at a blood bank to have a cheap laugh at a hungry vampire's expense. Oh the tears that would roll down my face to place a match between a Bigfoot's toes and light it! Or the twisted amusement to the horror of an ET when he understood you'd been to a "sex shop" just the case such an even every befell you and he too was getting probed.! Sick, twisted, deranged? Welcome to my world lads! When the prey is as elusive as mine and all the hours spent in darkened silence, one does what one must to keep from being over the top serious. I suppose us "monster hunters", have a different thought process than many and that may or may not be a good thing. I believe that all of use have our idiosyncrasies and none of them out of place to the keeper of such. I like to think that each of us have been given gifts to allow us to be at terms with the "bubble" in which we must dwell. Many of us are misfits who are unsuited to other vocations and could not exist in the everyday pace of most. I like who I am and I love what it do. Sane? Most likely not by world standards, but harmless with the exception of the grudge both my shin and toes seem to have against furniture that lurks in the dark awaiting an encounter with those who must travel the path at a moment's notice. I just think it's a wonderful thing for someone to be able to suggest different  terminology for your vocation that make you see it in a different light. No matter how much one enjoy's what one does, there are times when it can become stale or just simply tiring. I'd just never thought of myself as a monster hunter before today. Perhaps I should have this embossed on business cards......high strangeness indeed.....

Day 5 Notes

As this journey into high strangeness raises the drawbridge for the final time, I'm at a loss. At loss because I know there are much more to be discovered here and also because it has forced my thinking out of it's most comfortable and well worn box. I wish I could say that we have a Bigfoot or a crashed spacecraft, one bloody alien even, alas we do not. The second ridge that I wrote of in day four, concealed a house, a very normal looking house, that sat alone with a common dirt drive. We did see boot tracks where the floodlight was seen the previous night. Standard military issue. Granted this proves nothing since they can be purchased with all ease. One must remember this signs making this government property. Oh, how I longed to venture down and have a go at the house, but a nagging voice in my head said to proceed no further. The zoom on the camera showed many wires entering the dwelling but it looked normal otherwise. The dirt dive has a gate and a sign is posted on the other side, warning to keep out I'm sure. And what of the floodlight of the past night? Were we seen or close to being seen? I guess we may never know. As we started our climb up toward Sector C, My colleague Bruce caught the shape of something large at the top in a rocking motion as if it was trying to make us out. I did see what appeared to be something large standing near a large oak at the peak. We broke in a run towards the top as fast as the wet leaves and soil would allow. Once we reach the top a stench was present that reeked of wet animal. To the left of the tree where the sighting occurred the earth surface was a rock outcast. Now we all saw the same shape on the same side of the tallest oak at the top of the ridge, yet not a single track either on earth or rock! Our hiking boots were leaving tracks but nothing else was. The FLIR did show a heat signature but it could have been either "it" or one of the three of us. It is so easy to watch a show on TV and comment on how someone else could've missed something but it's a different story to discover your own camera around you neck while hoping a heart attack is not in progress. To say I was mad, would not come close, for I may have hated myself as much as a human could muster. Forgive myself, perhaps, forget never! As we waited and listened not a sound was heard. One would think if it was perhaps a bear, the racket of escape would be heard. Nothing but silence and our breath filled the air. If said phantom was a bear, not only was it full grown but it was standing on it back legs as well. No scratch marks were found on the tree or the ground. Nothing was observed in the trees either. Looking on the map, the oak in question, was in perfect alignment with the tip of the triangle on our map! Everything seems to evolve around the triangle and the blasted thing refuses to release any answers. Just then we noticed a white powder like substance on our boots. Now none of us remember seeing anything of this nature so we had to run through in while in pursuit of the phantom. Samples are taken and will seen to a lob ASAP. 0119 hours, we have settled in the three points of the triangle for the night unless drawn away by something else. 0207 hours the hum is back but instead of around us, it seems to be moving south to north. and, getting louder every moment that passes. As this hum was nearly on us, a helicopter flew over drowning all other noise out. To dark to make out a color but not a single light was on! Such flight is an FFA violation and it was near treetop level and the wind send both tripods and cameras crashing to the ground. Little doubt seven cameras are destroyed as they were gathered in pieces. The hum has stopped and the helicopter never slowed down. It would be easy to point fingers and yell government but it was simply too dark to make a judgement. Such flights are common in drug running and that made me nervous. 0337 Hours A loud thump was heard as if a rock was thrown or a large object was dropped. noting was seen unless one of the remaining camera's caught it, and it only happened once. Worthy to note is for a fleeting moment at a time the "wet animal" smell comes through in the breeze but nothing seen or heard. I still can not help but wonder what all this has to do with three EMP spots than form a triangle. If the area is strong enough to affect our compass, how can a helicopter fly that low and not appear to be effected? We all seem to devlop headache if we remained in the triangle for longer than an hour. And what of the house and the fresh tire tracks? I guess we will just have to gather what facts we can and see what kind of photo it makes. The lab said the "white powder" of our boots was Magnesium oxide and Potassium oxide . Magnesium oxide is used in cement and used for relief of heartburn and sore stomach, as an antacid, magnesium supplement, and as a short-term laxative. Potassium oxide is found in fertilizer so the only question is how did we go through a fresh patch that was still dry at this late hour? How it it still be powder a half-hour before dark? We saw no signs of other humans in this area until the chopper flew over so how did both chemicals just happen to form just before our mad dash? What of the lights and shadows that appear and disappear only to appear again a football field away without a sound? What was the phantom that paid us a visit? Are beings using portals that exist here, and if so, just what are they? The file shows 556 different UFO sightings all describing the same craft.  This close to major cities, why would the government risk the crash of an experimental aircraft that could not be covered up? If it's from another country, surely we would show our might in the air at the same time. We shall look long and hard at the tapes and recordings and compare notes. To declare myself lost on this one would be an understatement.

Day 4

I decided that we would use the hour or so at dusk to climb the ridge to see if the aircraft from the night before had indeed landed for a moment. The climb was steep and took a good deal of work. Reaching the summit one can see a valley down below nestled against another ridge. This land is marked no trespassing and ownership is stated to be government. I gave the pair the option to stay or wait but I'd come too far to turn back because of a sign on a tree. Now I do not condone trespassing or the fracture of any laws, I went on against better judgement. The valley between the two ridges is covered in grass and the ground is still somewhat soft. Scanning the area shown no signs that anything with any sort of mass could have touched down even for a moment. There was a light that came on the other ridge that reminded me of a spotlight and panned from left to right and then appeared to go back over the other side. Given that it's hunting season I'd suspect that someone is looking for a trophy. To my disdain I see another ridge in our future tomorrow. Returning to the top, we made our way down to B Sector. So far many things have been confirmed from the file as being fact. But why here? Not there's anything wrong with it but it don't make sense still. Sometimes a low frequency hum can be heard and felt both. It puts one in mind of an electric motor but at a much lower pitch. Something broke a tree over and no tracks were found around it nor did it appear to have any sort of bug or blight. One single tree in the midst of several tree's being the only one touched. The break is about five feet off the ground and it's a fresh break. No dead limbs or signs of anything hitting the cedar that would cause such damage. Almost as if it was chosen to serve as a marker of sorts. There are reports of this behavior in Bigfoot, and Bigfoot has been reported to be seen in this area. Of note, as wet as it is we have seen no tracks or encountered any smells that are associated with said primate. 0225 Hours, the hum reported earlier  has returned. As odd as it sounds it sounds as though it travels in the treetops but nothing has been see as of yet. We did find three different spots in A sector where the compass would just spin and just go haywire. The three location's form a triangle on a map that points northwest. 0517 hours, there were three strobe like flashes of light, one each of red, yellow and blue and then vanished. No sound whatsoever was detected. After checking the map, the lights seen were in perfect alignment with the triangle noted on the map. While it is strange, we have no evidence that it anything more than happenstance. Also strange is the the caves and chambers both are to the northwest as well. All indications appear that there is a direct involvement between it all. Why would everything center around the caves and the chambers if no connection was there? I must admit to wondering if the theories of vortex's and another dimension is not only possibile but proving it's self at this time. Much research will be needed to answer any questions it would appear.
