Today I'd like to clear up some things and just take you through the life of a Paranormal researcher. You would not believe the times it's been said to me. " Your job is so glam and you get to travel and meet all these people!"Okay, would it not make more sense if I was a liar to lie to your face that to like behind a keyboard? Oh yes it surely is "glam" to sit in dark cold spaces sometimes fill with vermin, either Hades hot or North Pole cold. Come back and listen to hour after hour of tape perhaps to find nothing, and, if something is found, spending more time going through all the it can't be to try to prove it real. Now this make take hours or days depending on the time spent on the case. Now while doing all this...let me just show you a time table of any given day.
7:00am Up with coffee sorting thru mail and going over the case for the day.
7:30 answering emails
8:00 am fielding and making phone calls
9:00 team meeting and planning the evening hunt & making sure all paperwork is taken care of.
10-11:30 gear check, making sure spare batteries are fresh
11:30-1145 Breakfast if I'm lucky
12;00 12;20 call client to confirm times and dates are correct
12:30-1:45. Book all travel, rooms, rental, routes, update GPS
2:00 - 3:00pm try to nap and shower
3:00-5:00-perhaps 6;00 pm...Get all gear set up and base line readings and photo taken
6-715-730pm check interviews for errors or any signs lies....If error is found time is set back an hour early to re-interview clients on claims made
8:00pm- dinner
9:00-300or 5:00 am-hunt
5;15--hotel or breaking down to leave for airport or long drive
Now the times are not exact but close to any given day. Many times I've had no clue what town or state I'm in without checking to see where left off and whats next. sorry I still see no glam and yes you travel but more often than not, there's no time to enjoy. If you wish to praise someone, praise the team who buys their own gear, works that job 5-6 days a week and still has time for the hunt. Many do this, (God Bless them all!), for no pay at all. They do it to help others and provide answers for all. Yes, those are my heroes, and, they should be in you cheers as well. Until the next time..
